Turkey and kibbles for Chip and Kayla

Thanksgiving started with Daddy walking me to Albertson’s. Then Daddy put me in Mommy’s car and that’s when a frozen turkey also arrived in the car too. The frozen turkey was placed in the trunk, but I could smell it!

Then Uncle Dave and Uncle Michael came over with Kayla! Not again! It’s Kayla!

I played with Kayla while Uncle Dave, Uncle Michael, and Mommy worked on getting the turkey cooking. They were also working on the stuffing and mashed potato and gravy.

By around 7:30PM, Kayla and I had a GREAT meal. I ate more than Kayla though. She’s such a picky dog. I’m glad she’s picky, because that means more food for me.

Then Uncle Dave, Uncle Michael, Daddy, and Mommy had a LAN party with a computer game called Command and Conquer. I don’t know what that means, but it kept them busy until 2AM in the morning. By then I was already knocked out by the turkey. So I didn’t care. *licking lips*

I went to pick up Mika from her Mommy’s workplace. Then we played together in front of the company and lots of people came to tell us how cute we were. Then Mika and I went with Mommy to pick up Kayla’s birthday cake. I behaved really well, but Mika began to take a beanie buddy from the back of Mommy’s car. I had NOTHING to do with it.

Then Mommy returned and we went down to Kayla’s place. Kayla greeted us and we had a fun 3 hour romp in the backyard. Kayla was absolutely FILTHY when it was all over. Kayla’s daddy gave Kayla a quickie little bath. It was funny to see Kayla so miserable. It’s NOT my fault that Kayla stood behind me whenever I decided to dig a hole.

By 5PM, Mika’s Mommy and my Daddy showed up at the birthday party. Kayla had pizza for the humans to eat. While Mika and I ate Kayla’s food. Then Peanut, a little Chihuahua and Yorkie mix, came over. All 4 of us ate a doggie birthday cake. Mary, Mika’s Mommy, baked the cake. It tasted really good. Peanut ate the most and he was the smallest out of all of us!

Then all 4 of us played together after the cake. We also opened Kayla’s birthday present. By 9PM, I was really tired and we went home.

My Canine Heritage Breed Test returned in the mail on November 7, 2007 and everyone is shocked at the results, including me!

I had no idea I had some Yorkshire Terrier blood in me! Also, I’m less than 50% Chow Chow! What will this mean for me?? I heard that Mommy and Daddy will now make me take the DNA blood test soon. That sounds so scary.

The cheek swab test can only detect 38 breeds. While the blood test can determine a lot more. So according to the easy cheek swab test, I’m NOT:

Afghan Hound
Akita
Bassenji
Basset Hound
Beagle
Belgian Tervuren
Bernese Mountain Dog
Border Collie
Borzoi
Boxer
Bulldog
Chihuahua
Chinese Shar-Pei
Cocker Spaniel
Collie
Dachshund
Doberman Pinscher
English Setter
German Shepherd
German Shorthaired Pointer
Golden Retreiver
Greyhounds
Italian Greyhound
Labrador Retriever
Mastiff
Miniature Schnauzer
Pug
Rottweiler
Saluki
Samoyed
Shetland Sheepdog
Shih-Tzu
Siberian Husky
St. Bernard
Standard Poodle
Whippet

So I wonder what I really am??? Daddy is guessing that I may have some Alaskan Malamute. But it’s only a guess. I knew I was a mutt, but I didn’t realize how mutty I really am!
